Zuhur and her family have been through a difficult journey. Together with her two trans daughters Lohan and Samar, her husband Talib and his second wife Schaharazad, she left Syria due to the civil war. In Germany, the family received asylum and has been living in Stuttgart for two years. As different as the family members are, each one tries to find their own way in this unfamiliar country. The parents struggle and try to hold onto the familiar structures from Syria. They continue to live according to the Quran and maintain their accustomed culture. But their children are taking very individual paths.

"Doks für alle" is curated by filmmaker Nele Dehnenkamp.
