Im Prinzip Familie

The second Thursday of every month we show documentaries at műSpace about young people and their stories. We watch together on the big screen. Free admission and popcorn. This time: Im Prinzip Familie.

In a house on the shore of an idyllic lake, surrounded by dense forests, three carers work in shifts at a group home. The children call them Mr Wagner, Mrs Wagner and Mr Gerecke. Cooking, washing, shopping and driving the children to school and leisure activities are part of their daily routine – as are listening, comforting, cuddling on the sofa, film nights and reading bedtime stories. The carers don't want to be substitute parents, and yet they show what it can feel like to be part of a family.
