Courses and memberships are paid for online through our booking system. Purchases in the shop and additional working time after a booked membership slot can be paid for on site by card or in cash.

We offer courses in a range of printing techniques, including etching (intaglio), screen printing, linocut and experimental printmaking. Our workshop is set up for these techniques, with dedicated work areas, tools and equipment for working on your own print projects.

Yes. Our free workshop tour gives you an overview of the space, work areas and ways to use the workshop. You can book the tour through our booking system, just like a course. It is required before you can use the workshop independently as part of “Own Project” or a membership.

Yes. There are two ways to work independently at műDruck:

Own Project

Every Wednesday, three three-hour slots are available for your own projects. You can book the “Own Project” slot through our booking system, just like a course, and work independently on your project.

Membership

If you want to work with printmaking regularly, a membership is a good option. Members get a set number of hours each month and can use the workshop independently during designated membership slots. You’ll find more information on the Membership page and in our membership FAQs.

For both types of independent use, you need to attend the free workshop tour first. During the tour, you’ll get an introduction to using the workshop, learn about the different work areas and receive information about safety.

No. All experience levels are welcome! Some of our courses are aimed at beginners, while others are for people with previous experience. You’ll find the recommended level in the course description.

Our course programme includes one-off sessions as well as multi-part courses. In multi-part courses, the sessions build on each other, so unfortunately it is not possible to join after the course has started. You’ll find all the information about the format and structure in the respective course description.

Courses are taught in German or English. You’ll find the language of each course in the course description. If needed, courses can usually also be supported in the other language.

Basic materials are included in most courses. You’ll find details of what is included and what you may need to bring yourself in the respective course description.

Group sizes vary depending on the course and are usually between 3 and 10 people.

Most of our courses are for adults aged 18 and over. School students can take part by arrangement, for example as part of a school project or accompanied by a supervising adult. We also offer special formats for children and families.

No. The workshop tour is only required if you want to use the workshop independently and without supervision, for example as part of the “Own Project” option or a membership. You don’t need to take the workshop tour to attend our regular courses.

If a course has to be cancelled due to low enrolment or because the instructor is unavailable, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. Any fees already paid will be refunded. You’re welcome to book another course afterwards.

Yes. In addition to our regular course programme, we offer individual workshops and team events for groups and companies. Together, we can develop a format that suits your goals, group size and the scope of the event.

Options range from compact workshops, for example from three hours, to more extensive formats including a workshop, meeting, catering and other activities. Group sizes depend on the format. Workshops are suitable for smaller groups of up to around 12 people.

Events take place at mű. For individual enquiries, company invoices or questions about planning, please contact us at anali@mue.berlin.

To become a member, you need good prior knowledge of printmaking techniques and must attend the free workshop tour. This gives us a chance to meet you and learn about your work, and to see together whether you can use the workshop independently.

Once all requirements are met, we’ll invite you to become a member. After completing the registration, you’ll get access to the members’ calendar and can book your membership slots.

We offer different membership options with different amounts of workshop time. You can choose between monthly and annual memberships. You’ll find all the information about Standard, Pro and discounted memberships, as well as current prices, on our Membership page.

Discounted membership is available to:

• School students
• University and college students
• People doing a Federal Volunteer Service (Bundesfreiwilligendienst)
• People receiving unemployment benefits or Bürgergeld
• People with a recognised severe disability of 50% or more (GdB)

Yes. Members receive 15% off all regular courses at műDruck.

Yes. We deliberately limit the number of memberships so that there is enough space at the workstations and the workshop remains a comfortable place to work.

Members can use the workshop from Thursday to Sunday, 10am–9pm. Independent work is possible during designated membership slots. Each slot lasts three hours and must be booked in advance through the members’ calendar.

Once your membership is set up, we’ll give you access to the members’ calendar, where you can book your available slots.

Certain tools and materials are available in the workshop, including screen printing frames, etching needles and the necessary solvents. Paper, inks, as well as plates for linocut and etching are not included, but can be purchased on site.

Pro members can get their own storage space for work and materials, subject to availability. Standard members currently do not have access to permanent storage. Smaller materials can be stored on site by arrangement and depending on available space.

Yes, as long as there is availability. You can book them through the members’ calendar.

You can book your membership slots through the members’ calendar 3 months in advance. Available slots are updated regularly.

Slots can be booked up to 3 months in advance.

Unfortunately not. Membership slots are available to you for the current month only and cannot be carried over to the following month.

If you want to change to a different membership plan, you'll need to cancel your current membership and then sign up for a new membership with your desired plan. The change takes effect at the end of your existing contract term. It's currently not possible to pause your membership or switch plans during an ongoing contract period.

Yes. You can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the course starts. From 72 hours before the course starts, we unfortunately cannot refund the course fee for cancellations or no-shows.

Generally, yes. If you can't attend, please get in touch with us in advance. Whether a transfer is possible depends on the specific course and timing.

Yes. If you can't use a booked slot, please cancel it in time through the member calendar. Cancellations are free up to 72 hours before the slot begins. This way we can offer the slot to other members. Unused slots or those cancelled too late cannot be rescheduled or transferred.

Please arrive on time so you can make full use of your booked slot. We unfortunately cannot extend your time for late arrivals.

• Annual membership can be cancelled four weeks before the end of the contract term

Throughout the year, we host exhibitions focused on photography. We keep July open for your ideas – you can exhibit with us then. Smaller exhibitions and other formats such as talks, presentations and workshops are possible outside July by arrangement. Get in touch with us at space@mue.berlin
