Collography: Printed Collages
Collography is a printing technique where you combine different materials on a plate to create a uniquely structured surface. When you print, different structures and textures emerge. You can use simple and used materials and give them a new function as printing materials.
In this course, you'll create your own printing plate using materials like aluminium tape, cardboard, leaves or vinyl. You'll try out different surfaces and layering and use them to make your own prints on the printing press. By the end of the course, you can work independently with collography and create your own printing plates.
